AGES 7+ Gymnastics Classes in Torrance & Redondo Beach

Aviator classes are for boys and girls ages 7 and up.  Aviators train on all four events - bars, beam, vault and floor - with a progressive curriculum that moves at the right pace for young athletes.

AGC's Aviator program also has two advanced levels for girls that are by invitation only. These programs are the jumping board for AGC Teams.

WHY AVIATORS

Aviator beginner classes are for boys and girls ages 7 and up - with separate group classes for ages 7+ and 10+.

AGC's Aviator recreational gymnastics are where the foundational skills from toddler to preschool programs become "real" gymnastics. The class focuses on learning and remembering terminology, developing strong mind-muscle connection, and progressing basic skills. We teach the importance of growing strong bodies by incorporating flexibility and strength development in the class.

Aviators focus on form and technique and create good gymnastics habits that they will use throughout their gymnastics career.

Class length: 45 minutes

Torrance tuition: $185 per month

Redondo tuition: $210 per month

MIGHTY AVIATORS

Intermediate 1

An invite-only class for girls ages 7+, Mighty Aviators is an intermediate class that focuses on more form, strength, and difficult skills - making it longer to pass than the beginner classes.

When passing students, coaches look for athletes who take correction well, have form without being corrected, likes to be challenged, have good behavior and listening skills, and demonstrate strong work ethic.

ADVANCED AVIATORS

Intermediate 2

An invite-only class for girls ages 7+, Advanced Aviators is AGC's highest level recreational class.

Your child will stay in this class to "prepare for team", although not everyone is ready or wants to take that path.  Students invited to join AGC Team are typically chosen from this class.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

Do you offer a free trial class before enrolling?

No, but we make it easy to try us for 30 days "free", with our money-back guarantee.  Enroll your child in gymnastics class.  Try it for 30 days. If you are not satisfied for any reason, simply let us know within the first 30 days and we'll refund your tuition - no questions asked.

What should my child wear to gymnastics?
Comfortable athletic clothing that allows free movement - leotard, shorts or athletic pants.  No loose jewelry. Hair pulled back - make sure there are no snaps or hard hardware that could scratch.  Gymnastics is done barefoot, so no shoes needed on the mat.

How does my child progress to the next level?

We evaluate your child after each class. Once your child has reached 3 stars on each skill and event, they are ready to move up levels!  You will be notified that your child has been approved to move up!  You can also track your child's progress through the Aerial Gym Club mobile app.

Alternatively, once your child ages out of their age range, they can move classes.

What if I cannot attend a class?

If your child misses a class, a makeup token will automatically be issued on your account.  Makeup tokens never expire, are non-refundable, and have no monetary value.

You may use makeup tokens as an active or inactive student for classes, Open Play, and Single Day Camps.

To use your makeup token, log on to the parent portal or call the office up to two weeks in advance. If a makeup class is missed, the makeup token will not be refunded. Please call to cancel your makeup prior to the start of class.

Can I transfer to a different class?

Students who are currently in a class and want to switch to another day and time (same level) can do so if there is open availability in the transfer class. If not, the student will be placed on a waitlist.

Student Behavior Guidelines

✈️ Students must always keep their hands to themselves.
✈️ Students should arrive prior to the actual start of class and check in at the front desk.
✈️ Students should speak to their fellow classmates, teachers, and AGC staff in a kind and respectful way.
✈️ Student having problems or difficulties should tell the teacher right away. If a child is unable to follow directions and the safety procedures during class, the parent/guardian will need to assist their child in class until he/she is able to participate independently.

✈️ Students should tell the teacher when they need to use the bathroom, especially when potty training.
